About the Author

When Esther was 7 years old she had a phase during which she refused to do her homework alone. She thought she couldn't do it. This is far too often what we tell ourselves, even as adults. Recently, Ester attended a coding bootcamp. The experience was the most challenging thing she had ever done, but that is where she learned about the growth mindset and the powerful word YET. It's such a simple but important concept. Esther wanted to share this discovery with kids everywhere and help parents to embrace the growth mindset as well. She believes that this simple concept will help children overcome their fears and strive to learn as much as they can in life. She wants people to stop saying "I can't do that," and start saying "I can't do that, YET!"

Read this book with my 4 and 6 year old girls and they loved it! It's hard to combat gender stereotype in our society so having this as an example of a woman having potential in fields like IT and pilot is wonderful. It's perfect for kids with with the insecurity of learning how to read as well! The final page is perfect for them to practice that new mindset of trying.

My granddaughter and I enjoyed reading this beautifully illustrated book. She identified with Enna and loved the imaginative story. We talked about the power of saying, "I can't do it, yet." Highly recommended.

A good book about not quitting. I liked this and my grandchildren have asked it to be read again which is a good indication that its message hit home. We all need to know we can't do everything well the first time. Liked this book to be an encourager to those who might be timid about trying new endeavors. J.

Gave this to a second grade class, too abstract for kindergarten.

It did not appeal to my 5 year old. It was about a girl having a dream about her future self. Enna was in a room with adult her. I wanted a book to help with positive mindset and not to give up.

I used this book in 4th grade, they loved it, great for a school counselor like me!

This is a very sweet story about a girl who meets her future selves. I enjoyed sharing it with my children.
